WordPress Developer (Remote for UAE)

Location: Remote (UAE)

We are looking for a skilled WordPress Developer with a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in creating, customizing, and managing high-performance websites using WordPress.

In this role, you will work closely with designers, content creators, and back-end systems to build seamless web experiences using core WordPress technologies (PHP, JavaScript, MySQL, REST API, and GraphQL).

🚀 Key Responsibilities

• WordPress Development: Develop custom WordPress themes, convert wireframes into functional templates, and implement Headless WordPress architectures using REST API and GraphQL.

• Plugin Development: Build custom plugins from scratch or extend existing ones to enhance platform functionality.

• Performance & SEO Optimization: Optimize website speed and responsiveness, and implement SEO best practices along with structured data/schema markup.

• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues related to themes, plugins, core updates, and server configurations (Apache/Nginx).

• Security & Accessibility: Ensure robust website security and compliance with accessibility standards (WCAG 2.0+, UAAG, ARIA).

🛠️ Technical Skills & Requirements

Core Requirements (WordPress)

• Core Stack: PHP, MySQL database usage & optimization, Apache/Nginx servers.

• WordPress Ecosystem: Gutenberg blocks, Full Site Editing, WordPress Multisite, Headless CMS.

• APIs: REST API and GraphQL integration.

• Page Builders: Experience with popular builders like Elementor, Beaver Builder, or Divi.

• Tools & Workflow: WP-CLI commands, Git version control (GitLab, GitHub, SVN).

• Design & Collaboration: Familiarity with design tools such as Figma and Adobe XD.

• Coding: Semantic HTML5 coding, with knowledge of CSS3, Bootstrap, and JavaScript (Vanilla JS, jQuery, ES6).

Nice-to-Have

• Front-End Frameworks (React.js & Angular): Knowledge and experience with React.js or Angular is a plus and not mandatory. This will be utilized for other front-end tasks and projects when there are no active WordPress assignments.

Professional Competencies

• Understanding client needs, providing technical guidance, and delivering scalable solutions.

🎓 Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

• Fluent in English (both spoken and written).

• Minimum of 2 years of professional WordPress development experience.
